Making Stuff

Starting up a new company isn't easy. How do you convince the world that your company can do amazing work before it has actually had a chance to produce much of it? We did this by building on the diverse portfolios our people brought to our new venture. That work goes back to the early days of PC-based animation and pre-dates the web.

Our people have bounced (no pun intended) through new and emerging techologies, some short-lived and some destined to stay for a long time. While at other companies, our programmers and artists have created and managed projects for small companies, government agencies, and name-brand institutions.

On the Front Burner

Though not long out of the gate, we're busy and happy to be working with such wonderful clients. Here are a few projects that currently on the drawing board or recently added to our portfolio:

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF HOUSTON

Bouncing Pixel is wrapping up work for the Children's Museum of Houston with the creation on an interactive diploma system for kids. The Diplomatron lets visitors print diplomas for the museum's varoius learning activities.

DISCOVERY GREEN

Custom-designed and built from scratch with the responsive web design approach, the Discovery Green website provides optimal user experience across a wide range of desktop and mobile devices. A visual navigation structure was created to let site visitors make their way through the site by browsing through rich photogaphy and easy-to-read headlines.

GRAMMAROPOLIS

Education startup Grammaropolis chose Bouncing Pixel for website redesign and the development of its iPhone and Android apps. These recently-launched projects feature animated episodes, books, songs, and games. Grammaropolis is a fresh, fun, and exciting new way to learn about the parts of speech.

RICE UNIVERSITY

Our game development team is working closely with researchers at Rice's Center for Technology in Teaching and Learning to create online educational games. Rice is using the games to increase students' science and health knowledge and to inspire those students to pursue science related careers.

ONLY IN HOUSTON

Bouncing Pixel is working with the OiH Board of Directors on the design and launch of the new community website for the organization. Only in Houston is a non-profit entity with hundreds of member in Houston's advertising, marketing, public relations, graphic design, production, and creative communities.
