New Projects

Simply put, Bouncing Pixel is an interactive design studio based in Houston, Texas. We started our company in late 2009, so you could say we were just born, but the people behind Bouncing Pixel have been around the block, so to speak.

Our team's experience goes back several decades to a time when PCs came without hard drives and buying an extra megabyte of RAM required a cashflow analysis. Our people are used to winning awards and seeing their work in publications and on television. They've created and managed projects for some pretty big clients.

Bouncing Pixel is a place where seasoned artists and programmers focus on doing the best work possible for their clients. A partner at Bouncing Pixel is directly involved in every project, doing the creative, handling the production, and managing the effort.

The Four Pixels
It Came From The Manhole!

It Came From The Manhole!

When we teamed up with our friends at StudioMET for the 2010 AIA Sandcastle Competition in Galveston, our goal was to build something original and have a good time at the beach. Little did we know we would take 3rd Place out of 62 teams and get the Bronze Shovel. So, what was the secret to our success?

  1. Have a pretty good game plan, but ...
  2. See most of the team show up late, so ...
  3. Skip the team meeting, which means we...
  4. Make up a bunch of stuff as we go along.

That's what you get with a team of strong sand movers, water haulers, sculptors, detailers, cooks, and a few beer drinkers.

Next year we go for Gold!
