Tropicana Las Vegas

3D Projection Mapping Animation Project with Texas Video and Post

We're always excited to explore new technologies and were thrilled when Texas Video and Post offered us the chance to work on this project. The technology is known as "3D projection mapping" and was used to present the animation we created for the Tropicana Las Vegas hotel and casino. At a premiere in May 2011, the animation was projected on the facade of the casino for tens of thousands of people to see as they walked and drove on the famous Las Vegas Strip.

This scene transition features an octopus that breaks through the building's exterior to expose an ocean filled with fish and interstitial messages.

Circular saw blades cut through the building's exterior to reveal live-action videos and promotional announcements.
